Zhangjiagang Yangtse Spinning Co., Ltd. (ZYS) is a Sino-German joint venture invested by S??dwolle GmbH & Co. KG (97%), the largest worsted yarn spinner in the world and Jiangsu Aoyang Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd. (3%). The total investment to date amounts to approximately USD 120 million. The three spinning factories are equipped with a total of 80.000 imported worsted spindles and were consecutively put into operation from October 1995 until April 2002. The annual production capacity of the three mills has reached approximately 10.000 tons. Both in administrative and technical respect ZYS is managed in the same manner as all mills in the S??dwolle Group, independent of their location. Uniformity in organization and production assures constant quality and efficiency which guarantees the highest level of competitiveness worldwide. Of course, ZYS is ISO 9001-2000 certified. Due to the high level of standardization the same yarns are being produced for the internal (Chinese) market, Asian, European and American market.
