Central Music Co was founded in the Central Conservatory of Music in China, and the members of the company are among the young professional generation. Central Music Co is now the biggest company promoting and selling digital music equipment. The preexistence of the company is the electronic music lab of the conservatory. In 1985, the lab first introduced the electronic music equipment from YAMAHA in Japan, and began to publicize those equipment afterwards. At present there are 6 departments in the company: sales department, technology department, software department, Marketing department, art department, repair department. The company has its own music school, every year more than 100 professional music workers and performers are trained at the school, now 500 of them are graduated and are doing their work all over China. The company established the Central Music Technology Association in 1993, now there are more than 10,000 members in the association, most of them are famous musician and music makers. The company publish the authorizing issues including <Central Music Technology> magazine and <Digital Music> paper, and there are about 30,000 readers all round China. The company also holds the China MIDI music contest and MIDI new music announcement meeting to publicize new music and digital music equipment, and those activities are welcome by the public, many people from the TV station, broadcast station, music school and entertainment places are zealous on it. Now those activities are popular in China annually.
