BUAL's mission is to provide quality laboratory analysis and consultation to every customer by using and developing the most effective methodology, training and technology. Our vision is to expand these services into both Chinese and global markets to help every customer meet the requirements of their botanicals and TCM quality as well as set up the quality standard. Consumer demand for Traditional Chinese Medicine products and natural dietary supplements has grown rapidly, with increasing amounts of herb materials being used in the manufacture of a large variety of products both in China and in global. However, as the supplies and number of suppliers multiply, the consistency of raw materials has become an issue because of the difficulty in scientific testing for most of companies. The issue, along with other science and market-based factors, led several well-known international companies (list below) together to build BUAL, in an international effort to develop analytical methods that will meet the demand of global quality consistency in the testing traditional botanicals.

BUAL is the only non-corporate and independent analytical laboratory for Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry in China.
