Qingdao Langyatai (Group) Co., Ltd was established in 1958. In its history, there are mainly four stages: With Jiaonan Commerce Bureau Distillery Factory as the primary form, Qingdao No.1 Distillery Company came into being in 1985 through extreme efforts by Langyataiee, which is the first stage, and then Qingdao Langyatai Distillery Co., Ltd was set up in 1994, the second; Qindao Langyatai Distillery (Group) Co., Ltd was built up in 1996, the third; and Qingdao Langyatai (Group) Co., Ltd, a large-scale hi-tech group was formed in 2002, the fourth stage.
The Group has more than 2,000 employees, including 680-odd engineering technicians and over 320 senior engineers. Covering an area of 350,000sq.m., the Group has an annual capacity of 20,000tons of alcoholic beverages, 15,000tons of fine itaconic acids, 30,000tons of gluconic acid sodium salt, 5,000tons of high-grade apple wines & apple vinegars, and 15,000tons of high-quality mineral waters. Among the National 500 Most Profitable Industrial Enterprises, Shandong Key Breweries, the National Star Enterprises in wine industry, the Group has been successively honored ?Qingdao Hi-tech Enterprise?, ?Qingdao Advanced Taxation Payer?, ?the National Contract-stressing & Promise-keeping Enterprise?, and ?Shandong Advanced Enterprise in Environmental Protection?, etc, and passed the certification of ISO9001 and ISO14001 in 2004. In taking a road of prospering business by science and technology, the Group has established its own municipal technical centers in Qingdao ----Liquor Institute, Fruit Wine Institute, and Biological Chemical Institute, to serve its subordinated companies. The centers employ 52 professional technicians (including 22 with senior titles and 27 with intermediate titles), who are very capable in both theory and practice and have dedicated to technological development for years.
