Guangzhou Copper Materials Co. Ltd. is the core enterprise of Guangzhou Nonferrous Metal Group. Through more than sixty year's expansion and development, it has become a national large-scale enterprise, the largest copper smelting and processing plant in South China, one of the five main copper materials processing bases in China. In the successive ten years the company is awarded the honorable titles of "Star Enterprise of China" and "Keeping Contracts & Promise Unit". With great supports from state and Guangzhou government, the company recently took steps to remove to and reconstruct Guangzhou Zhujiang Copper Co. Ltd. and a new factory base in Conghua Economic and technological Development District, which is located in Taiping town, only 40 kilometers away from urban Guangzhou, abuts National Highway 105 and providing the convenient transport system. The former is a 128-thousand-square-meter joint venture enterprise. (Guangzhou Copper Materials Co. Ltd. possesses 97% share), the latter occupies about 100 thousand square meters.
